Do you see a difference between stopping everyone who is open carrying to see if they have the proper license and stopping everyone in Arizona who looks Mexican to see if they're an illegal? Because I certainly don't.

Well...for one thing...a person CHOOSES to open carry. They don't choose whether or not they "look Mexican."

For another, "looking Mexican" may not present a possible danger to anyone (well I guess some of you believe it does)

You know what I mean. It's stopping everyone who fits a certain profile. One speaks Spanish, the other carries a gun. Both have rights but those rights are suspended until they can prove their innocence.

As for choosing to look Mexican.....sometimes I try to but it's hard to fit into my Volkswagen wearing the sombrero.

And we wonder why the anti's say pistols are compensatory tools for a small penis.:rolleyes2

If you really mean what you're saying, why do you need a couple hundred people to back you up?

Man up, go by yourself, and deal with the consequences.
The idea wasn't to take others for backup, it was to take enough people to overwhelm the system. I'm not weighing in on either side of whether it's a good idea, but to suggest that it's a mob tactic to intimidate or compensate is disingenuous and completely missing the point.

I think his intent was to point out that it's a foolish idea, which is in fact, on point. :D

And stopping every mexican who is openly carrying...

How about just stop everyone that is Mexican carrying....

What about if I am openly carrying a mexican? I should be stopped.

I really don't have much constructive to add, but I totally just thought of this:

But to make my above pose relevant, how many of you are going to open carry like ol' El Guapo just to flex your muscles (or dare I say, "nuts") a bit, when really it's not entirely practical to do so.

Forget the "wise" and "principle" part of the argument, let's just talk about practicality.

I could see my Government .45, or a full size .357 or a Glock 17, but I am not sure a 5 or 7" single action revolver is really a smart move. It's just impractical and unnecessary.
