Sierra 6mm 85grain game king ??

Anyone ever shot a deer with one? They hold together ok?

I haven't but you should be fine. The Sierra website says they can be used on deer and antelope. Sierra has always been conservative on usage recommendations.

You will be fine with that bullet. I shoot deer with .55 grain all the time in 6mm.

The Sierra 6 mm 85 gr. B.T.-H.P Game King bullet is one of the most accurate factory produced bullets, and it's performance on deer size game is utterly awesome to say the least!

I have killed many many deer with that particular Sierra bullet, and to date, all shots have been one-shot-kills.

If I'm not shooting Nosler 100-grain flat base in my .243 for deer, I'm shooting that Sierra 85-grain. I am a Sierra fan all the way around!

My Browning BAR isn’t really fond of boat tail bullets, but it’ll do minute of deer as far out as I’d ever want to try a shot.
