Does it irritate you when I do that?
If it does, I won't do it anymore.

On the contrary, I always enjoy your posts.
I felt like making a point about a news service and what they consider important.

I guess that's possible .. it's no secret Drudge is a big supporter of Trump or that Drudge Report is visited by mostly ultra right wingers. really don't think Drudge would stoop to lying about his polls results. Drudge is one of the highest traffic sites, hence reason for using his polls.

IMHO Trump is drawing to GOP a LOT of folks like me who are in the middle, that think radical right wingers and ultra liberals are both nuts .. comments about what's a RINO to me are full of horse manure. the makeup of GOP has changed over the years .. guess what, it's changing again.

to win a general election for president .. said candidate has to draw votes from both sides of the fence. it's really sad that things has gotten so polarized that each side rarely agrees on anything.

That's not entirely accurate. You can also win by motivating your side to get out the vote, while also demoralizing your opponent's side into staying home.

Currently, we have three GOP candidates who are driving the entire country crazy. It's not pretty, but the interest is significantly higher than it's been in decades. All three of them are orders of magnitude more likely to take their Democratic opponent to the woodshed than McCain or Romney were.

Meanwhile, the Democrats are desperate to nominate a completely untrustworthy, serial, pathological liar with a history of self-aggrandizement and self-serving actions. All in the hopes of staving off a populist uprising in their ranks from an avowed socialist they know would never get a single agenda item passed in Congress. Not one.

Getting the fence sitters to our side is great and I'll welcome their support, but this is the first time in decades that they may not be necessary. :)
