Sadly our Representatives do not agree with that it seems. There has been a Bill before Congress for a number of years that would require that all Bills must show a direct clause in the Constitution authorizing what they are trying to pass. The Congress does not want this and refuse to pass it. They feel that it is not their job to protect the Constitution. That they are only responsible for passing laws, nothing more.I disagree. There is nothing that says an elected official must vote for any constitutionally sound bill, only that they're bound by oath to vote against an unconstitutional one. Personally, I will not consider a split decision to be sound. Only if we have a 7-2 ruling against the PPACA will we have a win. Sotomayor and Kagan could phone their votes in. We already know their decisions aren't going to take the COTUS into consideration.

I bundled up all those firearms and ammunition and took them dowtown.
I was assured they would be taken care of. Of course I didnt get but about half what theyre worth, but no questions asked, and Im rid of them.
On the way home I stopped at surplus City and picked up a hickory ax handle for my ax, two survival knives ,with compasses.
Them guns are just too dangerous , the new leaders will take them away to save us.
Ill be gettin used to it!

Given the tenor of many of the threads here, my questions are perfectly reasonable and legitimate. If one ascribes a sense of ridicule to my post, how am I to blame? I think the assumption of ridicule is more telling. Do you have something for which you believe you will be ridiculed?
