Yeah, my partner sort of said that to me the other day at the office. Something like "man, I like to shoot, but I don't know about those assault weapons."

ME: "you mean like your shotguns"

Him: "No those are different."

ME: "really? you mean that gas operated Benelli that shoots once every time you pull the trigger is different from my rifle that shoots once every time I pull the trigger?" "And a rifled slug is smaller than my little ole .223?"

Him: "Uhhhhhh........."

There are a lot of "gun people" that believe you don't need anything more than a shotgun, a single shot or bolt action deer rifle, and maybe a .22.

Here are some arguements I thought of while on the way home-

Why do cops and infantry need 30-round mags? They train a hell of a lot more than me and when they face their targets, there are usually more of them than the target, so they should only need one bullet per gun, because they shouldn't miss, right?

Because the cops show up on time, everytime right?

I have the same discussion with GUN people as well, and i try to let them know the Number 1 rule is to divide and Conquer, and that is what they liberals have done when guns owners are willing to sell each other out like that. Then i tell them when they get mine who is going to help defend theirs the liberals will come after them eventually.
