I'll go a step further and say we need to abolish political parties all together. They serve no purpose other than to stifle those who oppose their power structure.

Yes, I feel that way too, but what would be the replacement? People always tend to group together, that's why grenades are sooooo useful:wink2:

I go online to the county election board website and download the sample ballot for my district. Then I go and research each candidate and question. I fill out the sample ballot exactly how I will be voting and carry it with me. Then all I have to do is mark the real ballot just like the sample and I've voted in accordance with my own beliefs, rather than what someone or some party told me to do.

Informed voting is awesome and highly underrated! :)

+100. Sat the kids down and made them look everything up over the last two weeks, so they could make an informed decision for themselves prior to voting for the first time.

This.

Finding info on some of these judges is pretty tough, though.

Tell me about it, the Judges took the longest time to research and was a big PITA.

Same here.

I vote for each individual. It usually comes out straight party, but I like to check each person's name individually.

This.

I don't normally straight party vote but it just happened that way this time. I was all over it like a spider monkey.

Look what you did GED. Dan Boren wins. :puke:

Is Mustang in the second district? It's like fifth or third, right? Can't remember which county mustang proper is in (OK or Canadian).

I can't keep up with other district's races, there is enough just on my ballot to worry about and keep straight. I only hope to elect the candidate that best represents my ideals. What happens outside of that is what it is.

I voted all Rs. No to 744, yes to 751, yes to banning sharia law. Didn't vote for any judges, mostly for a lack of research on my part. Went to the republican victory watch party, paid my respects to Sen. Inhofe, left before Failin showed up, couldn't have cared less about her.
