Cause then it would be "descrimination". Kinda feel the same way you do though. Maybe a test on understanding the basics of business and how government works would help weed some out.

Actually it was the 9th Circus Court that passed down the decision. The 9th Circus Court is in of all places, Northern California. That might have something to say about whether this might hold up in the Supreme Court, where it will surely end up.

The 9th is the most liberal court in the US. I am pretty sure this is not over yet.

Interestingly, and I would have to do some digging to get exact quotes on this, but not all of the founding fathers believed that everyone should have the right to vote by, in effect, placing a pole tax in much the same way that these laws require a voter ID.

Requiring ID to purchase a firearm is much the same thing except no one seems to be up in arms about presenting their ID when purchasing said firearm.

Last I recall, the 9th is also the most overturned Circus Court also.

One thing's for sure, you can do more damage to this country with a bad vote than you can with a firearm. :disappoin

Correct.

"Over the past fifty years, the Ninth Circuit, the largest circuit court in the country, has been reversed by the U.S. Supreme Court an average of 10.78 times per term. The next closest circuit, the Fifth Circuit, which is also the second largest circuit, was reversed an average of 7.42 times." (Kevin Scott, Supreme Court Reversals of the Ninth Circuit, 48 Ariz. L. Rev. 341.)

Now they are a pretty large court and have a large district, coupled with a high population, but its still far higher than their closest "competitor"
