I do know that Lifeline was started in 1985 and was revised in 2008 to ad trac phones. It was revised again in Jan of 12 to include eveerything. My niece who works for ATT had to come here to OKC to learn all about it. She stayed with us, so I was filled in on it.
Not all of us were GW Bush fans either.

See the pic I posted above - that was circa 1984. Cell phones became more common in the latter half of the 1980s, though they weren't yet the kind you slip into a shirt pocket.
It was started for land lines. It was to help people have a way to call 911 after that was started. Some people must not like helping people.
This clears everything up. Let's pretend he was a hard pill to swallow. I don't doubt he was for you and many others here on OSA.
But a lot of the conservatives I knew at the time worshiped GWB like he was a little tinhorn Jesus. I shouldn't include you or anyone else in that group. I just know that you were independently minded in those days. Congratulations.
