I found this today while hunting on my land. Obviously it's been there for several years, but just to think someone would kill a deer and just take the horns leaves me rather angry. Maybe a dog drug the head from a legal kill down there I don't know. Hope that's what it was anyway.

i've seen a few, the coyotes can drag them from log distances. i doubt the whole deer was dropped. taking the antlers and disposing of the carcass after butchering is common. i just wish it wasn't along the road!

Probably this

We live on a country road not far out of town. Deer heads with the skull cap cut off is a pretty common site.
