I have not owned a 22 Mag in years and only in a wheel gun when I did. It many situations I would rather have 20 rounds of 5.7 then 6 rounds of .22WMR
Some people like .22Mag a lot. I remind people that the way we got to the current state of hundreds of factory cartridges and thousands of wildcats is that we all have different preferences and goals for our arms.
The 5.7 delivers energy more on par with .22 Hornet then .22WMR.
