Why not? If you have served your punishment as meted out by the state, why couldn't one retain their job anywhere?Probably not as Tinker would not want a convicted felon on the base.
I know a couple of folks that are relatives working in the economy right now years after committing a non violent felony, serving their time and learning their lesson which is what prison is supposed to do.
I acknowledge it's tough getting out of the "system", but some have done it and went on to raise families, leading good lives.
Very few want to go back to prison but they do because society won't let them back in so they are required to revert back to their past antics to just stay alive.
It's a bad situation.
Yes, we could all get on our podiums and say they shouldn't have committed those offenses originally to get into the system, but we all know in the back of our minds that most of us could have been there and got lucky back in the young and dumb days.
