Definitely a "happy place" here. Lots of wildlife, no loud city sounds, and the smell of the woods is heaven.
Yellow/pink sky over Okmulgee county this evening if anyone else here seen it. I didn’t get a photo but it was pretty nice.
When I was a kid, my grandfather lived in Chicago and had a cottage on a lake in Wisconsin. Most summers we would spend a week or two at his place in Wisconsin. Fond memories!In-laws place in the north woods of Wisconsin. The high today was a blistering 73°. Currently 43°

I lived in Minnesota a couple years and can confirm summers tend to lean towards tolerable highs most days.
Winters lows are not so much.
We spent a week on the Dells a few years back. Fun place. We stayed in a bed & breakfast. Ate way too much. Man those people up there know how to feed you. Most days it was 6 to 8 courses. For breakfast!
Once our new puppies grow up some more we may have to go back.
