The weather walks forward. It's warmer later in the year now but stays colder longer in spring. It's not fun, but it's been happening for years. They used to have annual spring parties in February in the 1600s but eventually got snowed out too many years and stopped.

This year’s weather isn’t common. Oklahoma got a big snowstorm on October 26, 2020, and lows were in the 30’s in Alfalfa county the end of October/first of November in ‘18, ‘19, ‘20, ‘21, ‘22, ‘23.
