My reveal Tactacam solar panels have batteries built into the solar panel. Two of them have been running all summer at the house.
Ordered a third yesterday that is a bundle of SP, cam and SD card to be delivered shortly.
The rechargeable battery pack in the cams would only last a month.
I’m pretty Tactacams are 12 volt, and Spartans are 6 volt. There are at least a couple companies that make 12 volt solar panels, but I think Herd 360 is only one make one compatible for 6, 9, or 12 volt cameras.

Yes, 12v. The solar panels have a proprietary connection to the camera, but Amazon sells an adapter so any 12v can be used.

My cams have slowed waaay down but I was up there today and the windmill crew activity is crazy. Dump trucks, big haulers with counterweights for the cranes. Water trucks keeping the dust down, four trucks at the base of one on my place etc. Might be another tough year. I have a feeling they are going to plug this farm into the grid right about opening day…

Mine are showing A LOT less movement today than the last few days. It’s pretty amazing how much difference just between upper 90’s vs low 100’s.
