So I was thinking, I have a tube of Dow 44, well it actually says Shocker lube on the tube, but it is Dow 44. Now if i was to use this instead of oil on my ar15 would this be a good or bad? Has anyone tried this? As an ex-paintballer I use Dow on all my paintball guns. Worked at PBLand for 3 years back in its hayday, so I have had alot of experience with use on paintball guns. I have always wondered how good it would work it at all on a real gun, or if anyone has done this. I've searched all over the net, but I can't seem to find anyone that has tried it. Anyone tried this or have thought of this before? Good or bad experience?
How thin/thick is it? Grease has a place on firearms, but is not always substitutable for oil.
