Just saw this insect on Oklahoma Gardening. It was bug of the month, or some sort.
They are tough little bastards too, it takes a solid boot stomp and grind for a confirmed kill.
I've never seen one, but blister beetles are hell on horses; even fragmented blister beetles rolled up into alfalfa hay can be fatal to horses. I couldn't tell you why they're only a thing with alfalfa hay, not grass hay, but that's kind of an important thing to know when you're selling horse-grade hay. Horse owners are understandably paranoid about those beetles.I was also led to believe blister bugs are the closest thing to satan on this planet. But I can’t tell you if I have ever seen one myself.
@swampratt and I garnish our salads with them! Yummy! Rest of you are just mortal weakness!
It's a pleasure to meet one of the other 600 people who watch Oklahoma Gardening. I love that show.Just saw this insect on Oklahoma Gardening. It was bug of the month, or some sort.
