This isn't Aurora, Illinois. It's Aurora, Colorado. And BTW, saying the people in Denver 'get what they deserve, blah blah blah..' is total BS. The sanctuary city BS was something Denver City coucil resolved to do - it was never a ballot initiative that the population voted for. It's like blaming a population for the policies a dictator imposes. The resulting flaming dumpster fire that is roaring in Denver is spilling over into the surrounding communities, several of which are very conservative and will have nothing to do with the illegals. Aurora, CO is the city directly east of Denver and are having to deal with serious issues now.

I watched a pretty good video on YouTube from a journalist type guy who drove to Aurora to check it out. He speaks Spanish fluently. He went to the exact apartment from the video of the door and guy with scoped rifle. He interviewed people in the surrounding apartments and homes.
Basically, the truth is, there’s not exactly organized gangs taking anything over. It kind of boils down to that area just being an absolute chithole… there are indeed bunches of young male Venezuelans that have showed up there in the last year. They’re absolutely trashing the area. As in literal trash piled up everywhere, broken vehicles scattered, squatters in dilapidated buildings, etc

Could “inspire” others … I think that during the George Floyd “Race Pimp” Riots of 2020, the underachieving losers in “Antifa” said they were “going to the suburbs to take what is theirs”. Maybe this is their inspiration? Armed squatting?

But it's the tail wagging the dog in Denver, and Denver holds the votes and it's liberal cesspool, so it's wagging the whole state. This can explain in a few sentances:

Of course, bills passed by Council will ultimately require mayor-elect Mike Johnston's signature.
Mike Johnston is a Democrat. So, yeah. Not expecting great things until these policies piss the people off enough to vote in different leadership.
