MSMA is your friend but like anything else that works they’ve taken it off the market. It’s the only thing I’ve ever successfully been able to kill nut grass with. You can still find it though.

Any post and pre emergent that you can recommend?

I am sorry, I can't at the moment for fescue.

back when I actually cared somewhat about a lawn, I got on the Scotts program and just applied it every time they suggested. they have like three or four different things that you apply throughout the year and it worked fine for me.
