I purchased a Leatherman Skeletool CX and carried it for awhile because I didn't really feel like carrying both in my pockets all the time. I like the Skeletool because of the pliers and the bit driver, but to me the knife even with the 154cm blade was kind of disappointing. I misused it prying some light metals and broke off a small piece off the end of the blade.

Send it back to Leatherman and they will make it right for ya!

Anyone... thoughts on the Leatherman Juice for an EDC multitool? JUICE

I had a Juice but I sold it and bought the Skeletool.

The Skeletool has all the tools you need and none of the crap you don't. Like a corkscrew and can opener. When is the last time you needed a can opener? I have a P38 in my truck that works way better than Leatherman's can opener. Besides, while the Juice is a nice size, it's still almost too big for comfortable pocket carry.

I just prefer mine to have a pocket clip.

As far as can openers - I do love beer, and mostly non-threaded non-domestic! Cork screw? I never drink wine away from the kitchen, so nah. Some versions of the Juice don't have the cork screw though. I like the Skeletool, now that I look at it - I thought it was bigger than it is, and I like small so that is good. It's still not AS small as the Juice, but might work for me. I'm just stuck wearing slacks most of the time, so lightweight and compact work well for me. When I already have a wallet, phone, keys - weight and size can mean the difference between me carrying a knife and multi-tool or leaving them at home!

Trust me. You'll appreciate the Skeletool more than the Juice.

The Skeletool weighs just slightly more than the Juice (6 ounces? Fuhgetaboutit!) it has a pocket clip so it won't fall to the bottom of the pocket, which is what weighs your britches down, the blade on the Juice is kinda wimpy and it has a nail knick while the blade on the Skeletool is a combo blade (50/50 serrated) has an awesome shape and has a hole for easy one handed/thumb opening and one handed closing with it's liner lock, plus the Skeletool has a carabiner that doubles as a bottle opener.

So bring on the brewskies! :drunk2:

I fell in love with the Spyderco Endura back in 1998 and can't bring myself to carry anything else. I'm currently on my 5th one. I bought it from Lone Wolf Dist last year because it also has a flip out Glock disassembly tool on it.
