What is the most acceptable caliber for open carry?

Thought I would start my own after the signage thread. Most everyone knows nothing over .45 can be carried. Other than that what would you carry for open if you decide to open carry. For me it would either be my 9mm or .357 for now.

I don't plan to open carry much, but if I do, it will be my glock 23 gen 4 (.40) that I'll be picking up tomorrow from sooner state pawn.

I think a Colt Single Action Army in either .45 Colt or .44-40 is traditional, but I'd go with a S&W Model 3 in .45 Schofield with a 5" barrel. I like to be different.

If I would open carry it would probably be my Glock 19, 9mm or Glock 32, .357 sig!
