I think that I will go with a 1911 .45 for open carry on the rare occasion that I do it. But I am partial to .45 too, my conceal carry is a glock 30 .45 too. Hard to beat a .45

I do have a few others for the rotation, down to a 9mm.

I thought the thread was a joke at first. Do we really care what others think about what you carry? Open, concealed...carry what You got and/or meets Your need for a Self Defense pistol.

I'm going to put a pair of giant over sized grips on my handgun. That way whoever sees it will think that I'm much better armed than I really am. Make my 44 snubie look like a 454 casull. Also looking into adapting my 1911 to use the grips off my Desert Eagle.
Kinda like falsies for handguns.
