Since I'm not outside today (yet) I swapped my Spyderco Salt 1 with H-1 steel to a lighter and smaller Spyderco Dragonfly. It'll still hold up to the elements pretty good with it's VG-10 steel.

Is that a Gerber or a buck? I've always liked the value of both of those in that style.

Gerber. I was gifted one years ago when they came out. Liked it so much for how light it was I bought several.

Wow! They were no where this price when I bought several. I think I gave $15 maybe less.

@Glock 'em down

Fellow member @08H3 got me hooked on the tethered ball on the end. I bought a knife from him and it had a metal skull on it that dangled out the pocket. I got home with the knife and went to take off that paracord and little metal skull off, but stuck/clipped it on my front pocket to see about it! Damn if that paracord and skull made it easier to pull the knife! I have been a fan ever since! I recently switched the skull to a Automatic Sog I carry. That little skull and cord makes it so easy to pull knife out with gloves and just easier overall.

Yup. I don't use a lanyard on full size knives, but if it's smaller, like the Dragonfly, not only does it help on the pull, but it gives my pinky something to hang on to.

I use a ball knot on my fixed blades that ride in a deep leather sheath too. Makes em easier to get to with cold hands.
