1969 VW Squareback. I lived in California and sure was a fun car.
1973 Chevy Nova 350 with 4 Barrel Carb. It was so fast, my brother told on me. So, my dad drove it and then sold it and got me a Volvo instead. Yes, that was me in 1983. I had just turned 16 and graduated from driving a Honda 125 in JR high. It had several gauges and a horn that would play the Dukes of Hazard among many others... Darn it was exciting to drive!

Seems like only the hatchbacks got the shortened vinyl tops.

Yes, it was a Hatchback and my dad gave me either $1,000 or $1,500 for it.

1963 Austin-Healey Sprite. I later had a '72 Mercury Capri V-6 4 speed. It was one of the best cars I've owned out of about 50.
I would like to know if anyone's first car was older than they were.
I was a bit older than mine.
The first vehicle I ever drove was a fair bit older than me, that being a 1948 Ford 8N. My first truck was the same vintage as me; it wasn’t until I got to my third car that I got one a few years older than me.
