You guys do realize that very few companies actually MAKE AR's. The vast majority simply ASSEMBLE them on a lower that they had roll-marked with their logo. I will agree that QC, fit/finish and customization do vary between different companies. However, unless you are buying from the bottom of the bucket (Hesse, Blackthorne, Vulcan, etc..) they are not so different that it is worth arguing about. Just my humble opinion, YMMV.

Yeah, Theres probably less than 5 that make all their parts (except springs and pins). Everybody else is an assembler.
Thats why theres no parts available. They're getting them from the same source.

I would venture to say that the #1 AR "manufacturer", in the loosest sense of the word, is Bubba & Joe Bob...

...after that it is debatable.

Nothing against the Ruger. Seems to be holding its own. Just not in the 'tier' that the above group is in. I mean, you sneeze Noveske and you lose $500 but somehow feel great about the relief.
