Checked the S&W M&P .22 Compact? Similar in size to SR22 but no decocker issue.
My 8 year old girl shoots my 22 45 lite with a can on it. It is a little awkward in her small hands, but she hits everything.

Well, maybe Ill try it again. Last time we tried I guess has been a year or longer not that I think about it. Maybe without my can on it it will work for her.
Or, consider the polymer version of the Taurus PT-22.

Man that is tough. Id suggest an M&P 22 but I think those are pretty much a full sized gun as well. You may look at older out of production guns. Maybe a Smith 422, then again I think that is also larger.
Why dont you like the SR 22? you just dont like the decocker on it?
I just dont like the Walther design but I think the Ruger did it a little better. I wanted the Walther for years and when I finally got it I hated it. I think the Sig Mosquito is smaller but their not very good guns.
If you're up to the size of the Mosquito you might want to consider the Browning 1911 .22 also.
Yeah I forgot about that one. I think its supposed to be 80% in size to a real 1911.
Feels nice in the hand too. Finding one to look at could be the difficult part.
