Went to buy a trout stamp on-line at wildlifedepartment.com and discovered they're now tacking on a $3 "convenience fee". I decided to just stop at Walmart and get it. Hope they don't gouge me too.

They have been adding that online fee for a long time. Only for online purchases. Most times I would rather pay it than make a trip to Walmart.

I May be wrong, but I think its Bass Pro in Springfield that actually has a contract with ODW to issue the online license. The State does not get the $3.

You folks should go out of state if you think our wildlife department is gouging us. The trout are hatchery raised fish and the license fees is to help keep this program available.
