Thats a local ABC affiliate though. which means only broadcast in a certain area, mainly the area it occurred. Your not seeing it on CNN, MSNBC, ect... Good citizens stopping crime never makes national headlines. It's lucky to extend to a entire state when broadcast locally. Things like this should be making major headlines though. Put the word out nation wide citizens will not be terrorized (as Obama states). We refuse to live in fear from criminals & will fight back. but no, they wanna publicize us being victims & encourage us to vote away our rights.

Even when stories like this do make it nationally, they usually just get a small mention and then are quickly forgotten. It's like mentioning rape. A republican candidate makes a stupid rape statement and it plays for months. Democrat politicians make stupid rape statements and you only hear about it from internet news outlets.

There were something like 11,000 gun involved homicides last year. How many of those did the national MSM cover? Non-reporting cuts both way. It's not a conspiracy. It's a local story.
