Even if she begs you to? Some people are into that sort of thing, you know ;)

Right, BB? :bolt:

:tounge2: Without out a doubt. But even then you gotta be careful not to leave any marks ... some girls have a really nasty habit of changing their minds ... and their stories ...

I don't get it but then again I am not a typical girl ... :fallangel

This crap happened to my wife a few years back. She got a DUI and we had just finished with all the court stuff. Then she gets a letter in the mail saying the DA was pressing charges for a bad check she had written when she was 17. Her dad took care of the problem when it happened but I guess that wasn't enough.

When they decided to press the charges, there was only 10-15 more days until they couldn't get her anymore. I was so mad when that happened. The guy just wanted to make a few extra bucks while he could. Ended up costing us like 500....

I had a similar incident happen. I changed banks and closed an account. Two years later I get a notice from the DA's office that I have written a hot check and I need to make restitution or they are gonna file charges. When I found out what bank it was on I told them I had closed that account a year ago and asked them to have an officer come out so I could file a report. No way that check was mine, I thought.

A little more investigating and it came to light that the merchant I had written the check to almost 18 months earlier had neglected to deposit it in a timely manner. Cost me 10 times what I wrote the check for to get it all cleared up.

Lesson learned ... don't just keep a running total of your checking account. GC thinks I am daft because I reconcile the checkbook every single week and if a check doesn't come through in a timely manner I am making phone calls ... ask GlockGirl what happens when you don't deposit my check ... ;)

Yep I am the same way with our checks. I give someone 72 hours to deposit it or I am on the horn getting after them about it. It drives me nuts because they want there payment right away but then they don't want to take the time to deposit the money. Our daycare used to wait a few weeks and then deposit each weeks money all at once. After a few phone calls, our checks are dropped off on friday and clear on monday every time now.

Stuff like that is why I stay away from checks. There is nothing that I know of that I would ever need a check for.

I'm an old lady ... My bank provides copies on line, which I promptly print off, front and back and attach to whatever bill I have paid, all to go to the appropriate file.

This is what happens when you spend your entire working career taking care of other people's checkbooks and filerooms ...

Someone please explain to me how being 17 and hitting your sister is domestic violence, but hitting the other person you were fighting with was not even pursued as assault. If he hit his brother in the same manner would that be domestic violence too? I would most definitely get a lawyer. Domestic violence and sexual offender offenses are getting pretty easy to charge now and seem to grow in scope every year. With both of those type crimes you are pretty much guilty even after you are proven innocent if it is a male vs female type issue.

Absolutely whatever else you do, get a lawyer and have them handle it. You might be VERY sorry if you don't! The Lautenberg Amendment will bar you from owning firearms for life if you have a misdemeanor domestic violence conviction on your record. Domestic violence charges are nothing to screw around with, do it right!

See if the lawyer can get the case dismissed and the bench warrant voided.

Get a lawyer on this. Don't try to handle it yourself.
This is a serious situation.
I would also say this was not the thread for jokes.
If this is handled wrong it will follow him for the rest of his life.
