Sent My application off to UTAH yesterday
Called the Oklahoma County Sheriff Dept. this afternoon. Sadly mine was not in yet, but they said, and I quote: "We got a whole mess of them in today". So if you are waiting for yours from Oklahoma County you might want to check.
I just picked mine up at lunch from cleveland county sheriff's Department. I turned in my application to them on March 3rd 2010. 49 Days!!! I haven't even gotten my letter yet.

OSBI cashed money order 3-23 , issued 4-14.
I called sheriff last Fri and it wasn't in yet. Stopped in today and they had it. Haven't received my letter yet.
I think the S.O. Held onto it a little while. 8 weeks total.
Hubby turned his in a couple weeks before me only took 6 weeks for him.

Interesting that some initial applications reported here are being processed faster than renewals that don't require running prints, only background check update and new pics to a new card.
We received your renewal application on March 24, 2010 and we are currently processing renewal applications between 60 to 90 days.

Paid for mine on 4/8, got the letter today 4/24 that I could go pick it up.
Not the norm but my app had a letter signed by the governor and another one signed by a judge.
I guess since the background check had already been done before they didn’t need to do it again.

you plan on moving soon? I think oklahoma covers just as many states as utah? just curious, as I was looking at florida and utah myself, just on cursery observation, unless a guy was planning on moving somewhere else soon and (the cost is considerably cheaper..$10 or something) then I don't see a need for myself, curious why you are going this route?
They didn't even ask about my letter.I just had to sign my name next to my name on a list and she slid my license to me through the window.
