I just don't understand why he went with Mr $5,000 a day defense Box. I think these videos and a public defender could have got him off with way less time. Either way he was in the wrong. But atleast with the PD he wouldn't be totally broke, then he could afford some hoho's if he did get the same sentence.
Someone a few weeks ago asked me to sign a petition for him. I just could not do it. I agree that when he first shot he was in the right. But when he came back in to get the second gun and shot the kid who was already down 5 more times he wrong.
You have to qualify finacially to use a public defender. Courts don't hand them out like the government does welfare.
Saw this in another thread and immediately thought of Jerome Ersland and his predicament.

BTW, the video was seen in it's entirety by the jury. It's just now being seen by us I guess because the trial is concluded. Same with the 911 audio. I still wish we had the entire 911 tape from the employee that called in while Ersland was on his rampage. I'd like to hear what was going on ahead of the gunshots. Something about kaiser blades?
I have heard the lady's uncut 911 tape on the Ersland Facebook sight. You can hear the robbers shooting twice and the lady answering "yes" to the 911 operator that the robbers were indeed shooting. Then you can hear Jerome cutting loose with the judge 4:10. It was just a railroad job for a conviction.
