The only red I've ever seen outside of the city limits is the one I caught on the river a couple years ago. He was having the big one.........and was calling for Elizabeth, as I walked up.

They must like living around people or something. I see lots of reds around the Conoco Refinery when driving by, and there is a female that raises a litter in a plugged culvert at the Lamont grain elevator for several years now.

The biggest reason is lower or no coyote population

Love the picture of the red fox! We have lots of grey fox around here but very few reds.

Hunted a tournament Saturday, only got the one dog, but he got me second place on big dog and paid for entry fees and raffle tickets and then some. 42 lbs 2 oz. Beautiful dog, had great fur. Called him and another in in the first 5 minutes of the hunt, second one ran down in a ditch to exit the hay meadow and couldn't get a shot. Great start, unfortunately that was all there was for the day. Got pretty windy during the day.
