I'm just saying the whole "let me do what I want and make it others responsibility to not get hurt by it" argument is dumb. I get the whole individual liberty thing and it's great. It's NOT great when it isn't restrained by the rights of others. I shouldn't HAVE to have my head on a swivel because someone wants to be stupid behind the wheel and call it liberty.

I guess some folks just like being governed more than I do.
Maybe we can outlaw sleep - deprived driving, driving with noisy kids in the car, driving while focusing on Rush Limbaugh on the radio, these kinds of things could put others at risk, you know.
that's where context comes in...laws are only for punishment...words on a piece of paper will not stop someone from doing what they want anyway...it would be like passing a law that fire ants can't sting you and then putting your barefoot near a pile.
Anyone found Ted's victim yet?
