After 61 years I'm worn out. I have had lot of fun in my life, been a lot of places , seen a lot of things. There are things I wish I'd done and thing's I wish I hadn't done can't change it and don't think I would change it if I could.
Now I'm growing old and outlived my usefulness, between injuries and illness I can't do the things I always enjoyed. I guess the cycle of life. Do the things you want to do in your life. Don't waste any of it you can't get it back.

Good advice brother. I feel like I've got a few good years ahead of me but probably not far behind you. Are you retired or still working? For me the biggest things that keep me motivated are a loving family and a job I love very much.

Pfffttt...

...I'm 75 and still doing my thing. Got a Summer job that lets me see new country. Currently back in Alabama (after working here for nearly 6 months) and taking pictures of places that have interested me on the job.

While the old body has a few issues, I'm still able to manage. I walked over 4 1/2 miles yesterday checking out and photographing two old forts at Mobile Bay in Mobile.

Told our work people when we finished this year that we want to do Wyoming next year. Hope that comes about.

It's a lot about having the right attitude as long as one has the physical capability, and I have that.

@TerryMiller Be very weather aware. Storms upon you or soon to be. It has been terrible in AR, IL and KY.

@saddlebum You ain’t done yet! You sound a little winter depressed or holiday season stressed. Take care and don’t check out yet. Get back on that horse and give them some more crap that you’re so good at!! You sound like maybe some fresh air and short change in scenery could do you some good. Take care and reach out to someone if you really need someone to speak with through this. God bless!

Don't give up now. I did 20+ years in the Army and now at 60 I'm teaching young soldiers how to shoot down airplanes. I'm going to do this for a few more years and the plan is to sell a couple of our houses and buy a sailboat and sail around the Caribbean till the sharks get me. I've had a hip replaced and feel great for being 60. Can I run a marathon?.. No. But I still want to live life to the fullest. Sailing, camping, skydiving, etc. If you are retired take advantage of your time to do more stuff that you haven't done yet. Have you been to Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Grand Teton, etc.? Enjoy life while you can.

If you get to do Wyoming next year, let me know if you will be in the Gillette area. I finally get to fly back to OKC today after a pretty decent snow yesterday cancelled all flights from the local airport.
