Gunworld is an obscene joke to anyone with basic firearms grounding. They prey on the ignorant, and cause their victims to have a bad taste in their mouths toward the shooting sales community in general.

The elderly, newly frightened by the "Obama panic," have doubtless provided them with considerable income. Young military personnel appear to the be the main factor that keeps them going. These folks, like most young persons, lack experience and exposure, but sometimes act like they are knowledgable. This makes them an easy target for a $700+ Glock and other such "bargains."

The posted .380 prices (I would have been ashamed to do that) show where they are. They are nearly on a par with the panic gunshow .380 prices.

If I were the Base Commander at Tinker, Gunworld would be off limits to military personnel. I know for a fact that they are an embarrassment to some of the other shooting related businesses in the OKC area.

I look forward to the day that they start their inevitable "going out of business" advertising. I probably won't attend such a sale, even if there are genuine bargains to be had. This business represents one of the worst examples I have seen over a very long number of years.

Wow! Just noticed that this thread dates back to early 2006. That, in itself, tells you how deeply feelings toward this company run. And yet, they continue to be in business.

I believe Mr. J. W. Mashburn to be spinning wildly in his grave at the use of his name by this travesty. CB

I wasn't referring to all the extra stuff they do... just prices. I've been there, I actually really like it there and their staff has been pretty good, especially with the amount of customers that are in there. But just because they contribute to the gun community doesn't mean I'm going to pay $50 to $100 extra bucks for the same gun. A lot of people were complaining about gun worlds prices... and while worse than H&H, they aren't the only ones with really high prices.

I've purchased over a half dozen firearms from H&H in recent years...and never paid anything close to "$50 to $100 extra bucks" more than another local shop. I would however, not mind paying a few extra bucks in exchange for the huge selection and other services they bring to the table.

You asked why we aren't bitching about H&H, that's why. They are part of our community and the prices are nowhere close to GW.

I can't beleive I never thought about the military base being close to there and that probably being the reason gunworld is able to keep such high prices.
they've got soldiers from all over the US at that base and for some of them, the prices may be the same in the state that they're from. taking advantage of our military grunts.... that's low...
