Well that's the problem with "red flag" laws. You don't get any of those things like due process until after the fact...after your property has been taken from you and after you've suffered the consequences of having been labeled mentally ill or dangerous in one way or another. What you're describing is pretty much the way the system works now.

So why can’t we help draft something like the red flag, with rapid honest due-process? It’s the same story with almost everyone of these events.
So you want new laws to keep people in line? The same people who don't follow laws. Got it. Great idea. Maybe if they made killing people more illegal than it already is, people wouldn't do it. I mean, that makes as much sense as red flag laws to me. The .gov is not our keeper.

So what kind of suggestions do you have? Just keep saying, oh well, that’s just the way it is? This constant thought that the government, Soros, Democrats, lgbtabc, are out to destroy the world goes a long way in creating these idiots that kill grocery shoppers, church goers, and school children. And they usually tell us ahead of time that they are going to do it.

For one, there is no such thing as "rapid" due process. Second, the only way you could ensure that the proposed bad guy doesn't lose his guns before the hearing is to arrest them, or remove the firearms from their possession, and we would be back to square one.

I get what you are saying, but there is no viable way to make a red flag law viable without infringing on the rights of the accused. Instead of arguing over this point, lets fight to remove state government laws that restrict people from carrying for self protection. When more people fight back, there will be less mass shooters. Is it any wonder that 99.99% of all mass shootings happen in heavily gun controlled environments?
