Hmmm, do have a Ruger GP100. But maybe next season. I definitely don’t shoot it enough to feel comfortable making a kill shot with it.If you go open sights, you’ll be hooked. Try it with a pistol too.

I respect a man that knows his limitations. I’m of the opinion that the explosion in needing a tracking dog is because of overconfidence and lack of preparation.Hmmm, do have a Ruger GP100. But maybe next season. I definitely don’t shoot it enough to feel comfortable making a kill shot with it.
Pretty much spot on. Folks don't spend enough time to become comfortable with their weapon of choice.I respect a man that knows his limitations. I’m of the opinion that the explosion in needing a tracking dog is because of overconfidence and lack of preparation.
Congrats on the fine buck!Shot an 11 pointer Friday afternoon. Unusual right main beam and a kicker 2in point at left brow time. View attachment 533746View attachment 533745
We’ve shot several bucks in that area with really dark horns. I shot this one last year, he was really dark.Maybe it's just the light, but the rack looks really dark. Chocolate rack?
No matter, congrats on the very nice buck! I'm sure your proud of it.
