I have had good and bad luck with many. Best one I personally ever had was one made by Spikes Tactical. I will not comment on the others because I have several friends with them and have had the same luck I did with Spikes.

I've had good luck with the CMMG dedicated uppers.
That's what I'm reading and I found one on brownells for about 500 (without mags)
The Nordic NC-22 dedicated upper is considered to be the cream of the crop.
I have one, and it runs flawlessly.
It gets a lot of work in steel challenges, Ruger Rimfire matches, and so on.
Probably 10K rounds or so through it now without a FTF. I have had a few mag issues, but the company that builds them made it right.
I shoot a lot with others that use the M&P .22's. They run great as well.

is the upper polymer or metal?
