My concern is instead of an AWB, Theyre gonna find a way to tax the Crap (no cussing here) out of it.
That would make too much scence .....Nevermind

I was listening to joe pags interview congressman lamar smith(head of the House justice committee and he said that ANY AWB bill that comes out of the senat must go thru his committee and there is NWIH(think it out, because we are not supposed to cuss round here) it will ever get out of his committee.[/QUOTE]
Let's hope that happens, that it never makes it out of committee.
Magpul released a similar message about reporting "authorized vendors" who gouge to them and they will no longer be authorized to receive Magpul products direct from Magpul or authorized distributors.
I still want to know how inflated prices on non-essential items can be considered gouging. It seems to me that a lot of dealers are controlling the private profiteers through pricing and purchase quantity limits. If we wanted to make outrageous profits we could just market our products on gunbroker and let the fools gouge themselves.
Where are you finding that gouging only applies to essential items? Just curious as to where you're getting your definition from. A quick google does not yield any results stating that price-gouging only applies to essential items (I'm clearly no financial guru though so I am curious as to what the actual definition is).
Gouging is just what it is - hiking prices unreasonably or irrationally due to demand. It's perfectly fine and nobody on this board is proposing legislation to stop the free-market process of charging what you want - but manufacturers have a right to sell to whom they want as well - and they're exercising their right to not sell to those who price-gouge.
Exactly! There is no gouging going on. Nobody is forced to buy anything for survival, there is no civil emergency.
