I dont understand what you are saying? If its just left, dial in windage to compensate. Its not going to be sighted in the same from gun to gun.
I realize you dont understand. You cant adjust the dot for a half an inch off of center.
If I am so obviously dense, please explain. If it worked fine in a different gun, the crossbar is in place, and the both sides of the rail are present, why does it shift?

Look at your clamp (the short piece under the ratchet). Does your clamp look like this? It's supposed to. In the other pic it looks flat to me. I think that's your problem. The U.S. military has thousands of these. They work. Not Larue but functional.

OK cool. I seriously couldn't see that in the earlier pic. I have no idea what you have going on. I'm thinking something is warped or bent, but don't know what. Hope it's not your rail, that would be a total bummer.
I seem to remember quite a bit of adjustment range (+/- 2.5 meters at 100...or over 8 feet)...did you actually try to adjust it to co-witness the iron sights on your rifle or bore sight it?
If you did all that and it still didn't work, then I understand your frustration.
