That round looks ridiculous lmao. What is it used for, hunting bears and elephants?Yea, 223 WSSM is a pretty nice cartridge, so is the 243WSSM. I have both and I'm glad that I reload and have a pretty good supply of brass.

Yup. It gives me heartburn just thinking about!Holy throat erosion, Batman!
What is wrong with my ride. Lol
Yep, the .223 WSSM missed it's mark because Winchester and Browning decided to chamber this wildcat in a bolt gun with standard ramp angles. With the sharp shoulders of the cartridge, the feeding problems became an issue with shooters. It fell quickly out of favor which is sad. Very few cartridges to this day have the potential this wildcat could produce. Some custom guns were reaching 5000 fps.Yeah, that's .223 WSSM, which would be Winchester Super Short Magnum. .223 WSSM is an entirely different creature from the .223 Rem you're seeking.
ETA: from what I can tell, it looks like .223 WSSM is a .300 WSM case necked down to .223.
Hell I was fixing to sell all but 2k of my 65k stash of 223 & 556 had dollar signs in my eyes for a minute thereOh ok, I was about to say wtf happened .
Thats a good thing!Damn, it went down a bit.
Well, I take that back. I looked up my ammo and it’s around 0.73 a round. $15 a box (20 count). I made a thread selling what I have left if anyone is interested.Thats a good thing!
