I have an odd problem.

I have several items running off the internet, two computers, an xBox 360, a PS3...

Cable modem (motorola surfboard model), netgear router.

Once a day - not necessarily every 24 hours, but it hasn't happened more than once a day, my main computer will lose internet connection.

Everytime this happens, I'm playing my MMO - but it's a pretty good chance if I'm sitting at my computer, I'm playing my MMO - so that may or may not mean anything. :)

Nothing else on the network loses connection. The other computer, the XBox... everything else is still connected.

If I reboot, I can connect just fine again, and won't have the problem again the rest of the day.

Any thoughts?

Still could be many things.

Possible driver issue with either wireless/ethernet card.
Possible hardware issue.

I would probably update the driver, and see what that does. If nothing, might see if you can get your hands on a NIC and give that a try. If this is a desktop, I dont ever use the onboard ethernet. I usually slap in a moderately priced Gigabit NIC and disable the onboard.

On the note of Gaming Consoles,... I remember you once said you loved Fallout... Been playing Fallout New Vegas?

Not that I've noticed
what OS are you running?

Windows 7

what Anti virus and firewall are you running? is it wired or wireless?

The anti-virus is Avast
and it looks like I'm just using windows firewall

Ah... what's a NIC?

Yes! Having a good time with it. Bit glitchy, but good.

I'm assuming by MMO you mean some kind of MMORPG, which game?

City of Heroes

Thanks guys! I appreciate you at least looking at this.
