If that were the case, wouldn't it just keep happening?

Depends on the activity. Maybe one time you're playing CoH for an hour non stop, and maybe another time you alt+tab to your browser to google where that rare quest item is. It's a thought, you might look at the power settings for both your machine as a whole (ie. control panel) and the network card itself (network connections, wireless connection, properties. . .)

So, both your computers are losing the internet at the same time or only one? If it's just one computer ... then when it happens open a dos box (start run cmd) then type ipconfig /all > myresult.txt and post the file myresult.txt here.

On Vista click start - type cmd and then click on cmd under programs

Only my main computer is losing internet. The other computer, the XBox... whatever else, are all still connected just fine.

And... well... it's already happened to me today and it has never happened more than once in a day, so it may be tomorrow before I can get that info for you.

Go ahead and do it now. It will list when your lease was obtained and when it expires. Then we can compare it to when you went down ...

Is your clock set correctly? What type of netgear router do you have?

When it goes down tomorrow, open up the dos box and type the following commands before rebooting:

ipconfig /all > myresult1.txt

ping 192.168.0.1

ping 192.168.0.4

ping 127.0.0.1

and then let us know what it says. You're trying to reach your router, your external ip and then your loopback address.
