No clue. Hence why I asked if any techs were on here lol. I have fiber from a different company being installed and they didn’t use anything from this box. It says cox telephone on the side.Is that a digital junction box? If so, it may be where your cable line comes into the house. If you cut it off entirely it will disable any option to have cable turned on to the house - cable internet included.
I'd verify it's not the main incoming line before cutting it entirely.
