Went to the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum in Auburn, Indiana a month or so ago...any interest in pics from there? I have a bit over 100 I could post if people are into old cars like these.

For example, Frank Lloyd Wright's Cord L29

Welp here's a few to wet your whistle.
Many of the cars moving forward are million+ dollar cars.
Auburn Cord Duesenberg has a very cool history that many dont know about but if you like the looks of the cars, you should look it up. They were innovators and ahead of their time in many aspects. Some of their creations are still in use today.
Last tidbit, is the company folded in 1937 but the factory remained in Auburn, IN and was filled with parts. In 1963, Glenn Pray bought everything they had and moved it to Broken Arrow, OK and began building continuation cars from leftover parts (there were 700,000lb of parts). They are still operational, although Glenn has passed...his son Doug now runs the operation...so there is somewhat of a quirky Oklahoma connection here.

The 812 coupe here was owned by Robert Stranahan of the Champion Spark Plug Co. and the developer of the idea of full-service gas stations. (The Stranahan car) has external headlights and round ports on the exhaust rather than the long trim as on the other 812s.
Side note, Cord 812's with side pipes on the hood were Supercharged versions.

IDK if I've ever posted this here before, but if not here's a fitting place. When I grew up in Memphis, my neighbor Mr. Luzader had a 1935 Auburn 851 Phaeton...which is what got me big into cars and later Hot Wheels. I was the minority in that neighborhood and didnt have many if any kid friends my age so I hung out with Mr. Luzader while he tinkered with his Auburn. Needless to say, it left an impression to have such a neighbor. I originally got into Hot Wheels because they made an Auburn, Cord and Duesenberg...and I never thought I'd be able to afford a real one. Well..now my ACD HW Collection is worth what I could buy a pretty nice Auburn or Cord for...so I guess I was wrong.
