Note the cooling fan orientation and transmission, this was for a Cord 810/812 which was a front wheel drive using a transaxle as shown.

There is an old guy in Wellington Ks that has a bit of a Cord/Auburn museum, & a shop where he rebuilds parts & cars. I was there when he showed a group of people a fender he was making. Using only an power planishing hammer & an English wheel. It is quite the shop, & I can't remember the name of the guy or his shop.
These old Cords, Auburns, & Duesenbergs are some of the most beautifully designed cars, I think.

There used be a great collection of them at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas. If I remember correctly they called the one room the “Cord Room” or “Duesenberg Room”. It had a huge bar in it. I always made it a point to stop in every few years.

It’s on Hwy 81 as you go north out of town. I pass it quite often going to the gun range there.

OK, it’s not from the museum, but it is a Doosey! I just couldn’t resist... How can you not love all that mechanized power?

This is the Union Pacific Big Boy 4014, the largest operating steam engine in the world, during a whistle stop in eastern Oklahoma in 2019. If you’re curious, it will be running through OK this august.
