anyone ever hunt just one deer???

Hunted this buck last yr and seen him one time in the daylight in late season,

Here he is this year.. My dad and i have made a pact to only kill this one buck.. He blew up this yr

Good luck! I haven't ever done this as I hunt public land and don't use trail cams to prevent the theft of them, but I'd like to.

Yes I have. Last year. Finally got him over New Years weekend. Took 3 full months and 3 guys after him to get him on the ground.

The landowner and myself hunted these bucks exclusivley in 2008. Had dozens of night pics, 1 daylight pic in velvet. Saw the first one once on the saturday before rifle at 9:30am but never presented a shot and was too far away. Last game cam pic was at night, two days after rifle season. Never found sheds, never heard of anyone shooting him, never found any headless bucks, vanished forever. We never saw the second one, only night pics as well.

I have generally had a couple that I would be hunting. I just started putting out a camera last year and got one of the few that I wanted.

I've targeted a single buck, and spent the whole season with nothing. Then found out he was shot 1/2 mile north of me on opening day.
Now, I focus on one, but take what comes along.

Okie, I might have to change my ways if that brute came around on a camera. Damm, I love that rack.

We were almost distraught when they didn't show back up the next season. We didn't even realize that those are two different bucks in those two pics until the next summer! This buck was in there the same year also, but this is the only pic we had of him.
