If you like German food, try Old Germany out by Choctaw. Great food, great German beer, and a laid back atmosphere.
A good schnitzel and a Spatan or the like is hard to beat. Their German potatoes, wursts, red cabbage, or sauerkraut isn't bad either.

You did not say which range you are going to but since you are in Edmond I am going to guess Heartland. That pretty much means an Edmond place to eat and with that kind of date, some place light and fun. I would suggest PePe's, Hideaway Pizza, Jo's Famous Pizza, etc depending on your mood at the time. If you hit it off take her someplace nicer for the 2nd date.

The food at Old Germany is good but so is the food at the Royal Bavaria. IMO, the beer at Royal Bavaria is miles better so I'd give them the edge on overall experience.

You must know how to build up trust pretty quickly, if you can have the woman come to your place, or go to her place, to cook dinner - on the first date? Or are you talking of preparing the meal, then serving it at a neutral place like a park?

Ideally she wouldn't even know where your place *is* for a good while amirite?

Ruffies...

It's been almost 20 years since I have had to date anyone so I might just be showing my age here but I never just asked some stranger out. I always knew the person first so there was already trust.

Age 34? You cooked your now wife a 4-course meal for your first date when you were 14 years old? You are one suave fawker.

Indeed. In case she turns out to be one of those people who tend to boil rabbits in pots.
