I just received a pair of these. I hope they hold up well as my favorite NB shoes are no longer made in my size and have been shopped out to Vietnam. These are made in China but are nice and roomy for when my feet swell. I will report on them down the road but so far I like them. Not crazy about the price as I had to save up for them but so what else is new.

I’ve had a few pairs of Propet Ridge Walker and Cliff Walker hikers; they’ve all been really comfortable, but their quality can be hit and miss. I think I’ve snapped off at least two of the lacing hooks on all of the Ridge Walkers I’ve owned (which is a royal pain when they’re on the same side), and one had the outsole start to separate from the midsole. Some replacement hooks from Tandy Leather fixed the first problem and some Gorilla Glue fixed the second, and I got a lot of wear out of them all. Of course, the hooks won’t be an issue with the strap-ons you bought.

After I bought them, I learned that they were diabetic-approved, so I went and looked up what that meant. I don’t recall everything exactly, but I do remember thinking that these boots were super comfortable and all shoes ought to be made like that, so diabetic-approved became one of the things I looked for in shoes.

New Balance is good- I got some Sketches this last time and they are doing good- ordered a pair of Hoka off ebay and they are very cushion on my feet but could be wider. Some shoes make my two small toes rub and make corns in-between. The Sketchers I like best are the slip in type - nice wide no rub. My daughter works at a Famous Footware and she got me 2 pair of the Sketchers for $105
