Surjimmy those are awesome bucks, where were you hunting? I'm guessing you weren't in Oklahoma with a 200lb deer! Even though as Dennishoddy's friend just proved you can! I shot one last year that dressed out at 179lbs. That's my biggest deer ever!

The dates off on my dad's camera. It was really 11-23-08.

My buddys deer hunting spot is so close to I35 that he can see people in their vehicles really close. Nothing but a few scrub cedar trees in the area. One of them he was sitting under when a small buck came about 20' in front of him. He was going to shoot him, when this big guy came walking up from behind and stopped to his left. He turned and shot him at 12'! Dropped him like a rock.:D
Lots of 200lb + bucks taken from Kay County and west. A 239 lb deer was taken archery on opening day just north of Tonkawa Ok.

Hey, Don't let the cat out of the bag. There are no 200# FD deer taken in Kay county. They all field dress 110 pounds and have tiny thin racks. Not worth anyone's effort. Western oklahoma is the palce for all you guys to go.Remember there are no big deer in Kay county.

jmiller45.........Yep, Oklahoma deer. We hunt up in Jet Oklahoma, so maybe it was a Kansas deer that got lost. BTW That is one nice deer, maybe one like that will walk infront of me this year. Outstanding, now we're on track on what this post is about.

This is on my farm, where a buddy hunts. He is kicking himself for not being in the blind. Left about an hour before. I think he has around 14 points, maybe 16. 150 lb doe checked in this weekend too, at Lamont. Shot about 2 miles from here.

With the full moon, I told my buddy he needed to stay in the blind all day, as they feed all night, and lay up until early afternoon then get up to stretch a little, and a noon snack, but I think the lure of the casino over came him. Sorry about his luck
