It’s bean weather.

Having homemade vegetable soup tonight and I ask mama to make me a pot of beans and a pan of cornbread tomorrow.

I was going to make some Mexican Cornbread but the wife/boss is going to make a fancy version of cornbread. So I’ll sit back and wait to see if it’s as good. Pretty sure it’ll be good and even if it isn’t I bet I’ll eat it anyway.

I'll add that WinCo in Moore used to stock some smoked ham hocks that were vacuum sealed and had lots of meat on them instead of some that are mostly fat. Just added to my grocery list and will post if they're still available.

I like to get a few ribs, scrape the meat off and add it to the beans.
